Vital Vitamin D3 1000IU 30 Capsules is a health supplement that supports a healthy functioning of the immune system and the development and maintenance of strong bones and normal muscle function. Additionally, this supplement contains coconut oil which is a source of antioxidants.

Usage instructions:
Dosage and directions for use: Adult and children: Take 1 capsule daily. Take with water after food. What Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU is used for: Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU supports healthy functioning of the immune system. It also contributes to the development and maintenance of strong bones and normal muscle function. Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU additionally contains coconut oil which is a source of antioxidants. Coconut oil also creates an oily environment which assists with the absorption of vitamin D3. How to take vital vitamin D3 1000 IU: Always take Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU exactly as indicated or as your doctor or pharmacist has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. The dosage for adults and children is 1 capsule daily. Take with water after a meal. Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU may be taken continuously. If you take more Vital Vitamin D3 1000 1U than you should: In the event of overdosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, contact the nearest hospital or poison control centre. If you take more Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU than you should, it may increase your risk of experiencing side effects (see "possible side effects"). The long term use of excessive doses of vitamin D3 may lead to hypercalcaemia (abnormally high concentrations of calcium in your blood and urine) which is characterized by the following symptoms: thirst, excessive urination, loss of appetite, constipation, muscle weakness, fatigue, confusion, and in severe cases nausea and vomiting. Discontinue the use of Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU immediately. If you forget to take a dose of Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember the forgotten dose before the next dose is due, skip the forgotten dose and continue with your regular dosage schedule of 1 capsule per day (every 24 hours). Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten individual dose. Possible side effects: Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU can have side effects. Not all side effects reported for Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen or if you experience any untoward effects while taking this medicine, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional for advice. If any of the following happens, stop taking Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU and tell your doctor immediately or go to the casualty department at your nearest hospital: Constriction of your airways or trouble breathing. These are serious side effects. If you have them, you may have had an allergic reaction to Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU. You may need urgent medical attention. Inform your doctor of the following side effects if they continue or become bothersome: Stomach cramps, nausea and loose stools. Skin reactions including hives and itching. If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage instructions:
Store at or below 25 degrees C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Storing and disposing of Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: Store at or below 25 degrees C in a dry place. Protect from light. Store in original packaging until required for use. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label. Return all unused medicine to your pharmacist. Do not dispose of unused medicine in drains or sewerage systems (e.g. toilets). Store all medicines out of reach of children.

Warnings:
Keep out of reach of children. This unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use. Before you take/use Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: Do not take/use Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients it contains (see "what Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU contains"). If you have any problems with calcium metabolism (e.g. abnormally high concentrations of calcium in your blood and urine). Take special care with Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: If you have been diagnosed with/suffer from: High cholesterol levels since coconut oil, as in Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU, may raise cholesterol levels. Discuss the use of Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU with your doctor or pharmacist prior to use if you suffer from the above-mentioned condition. Vitamins and nutrients can be obtained from other sources, e.g. daily diet and other supplements. Please take this into consideration when taking Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU. Taking Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU with food or drink: Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU should be taken after a meal with water. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU is safe to take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional for advice before taking Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU. Driving and using machinery: The effect of Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU on the ability to drive and use machinery has not been studied. It is unlikely that it will impair your ability to drive or use machines. However, please take care when driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you. Important information about some of the ingredients of Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU contains glycerol and sorbitol, if you have been told that you have an intolerance to glycerol and/or sorbitol, you should not take Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU. The capsule shell contains halaal gelatine of bovine origin. Taking other medicines with Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU: Always tell your healthcare professional if you are taking any other medicines (This includes complementary or traditional medicines). Discuss the use of the following medicine in combination with Vital Vitamin D3 1000 IU with your doctor or pharmacist: Thiazide diuretics ("water tablets") e.g. Hydrochlorothiazide and indapamide.
